Did you know there is a light inside everyone and you can catch it and share it with others? In the storybook Addison the Light Catcher: The Gnat & Corky Series, meet Addison who made her super-duper light catcher when her brother was born. It was sparkly, dependable, and fast, and the light was jumping around everywhere when her brother opened his eyes for the first time. The light ran through the room and though Addison chased after, it just kept running. Addison pleaded with it to let her catch it and put it back in the sky for the world to see, but the light just kept running through the garden and past the barn. Will Addison be able to catch it and put it in the sky for everyone to see?
Courtney Kotloski's beautiful story captures the magic of the light that exists within everyone, sibling bonding and love. Natalie Sorrentino's illustrations add whimsy and enchantment to the story, and make the positive message captivating and meaningful to readers. It is a wonderful book to give children, and will be perfect to use in classrooms and school libraries to help children realize the light and beauty that exist within them. I like the way the author has given light its own individuality and personality and made it a character to remember. Parents should have this entire series in their personal collection as the positive messages in these books are the best way to help kids realize their magic and discover the light within them.
