JA Andrews is a writer, wife, mother, and unemployed rocket scientist. She doesn't regret the rocket science degree, but finds it generally inapplicable in daily life. Except for the rare occurrence of her being able to definitively state, "That's not rocket science." She does, however, love the stars.
She began writing stories and creating coloring books because these sorts of things need an outlet. And now good markers are a deductible business expense.
She spends an inordinate amount of time at home, with her family, who she adores, and lives deep in the Rocky Mountains of Montana, where she can see more stars than she ever imagined.

Alaric isn't after the cure for the good of many, just to save his own wife, Evangeline. His quest has him teaming up with the most unlikely group of treasure seekers; a blacksmith named Brandson, a dwarf named Douglon, a wizard called Gustuav, and an elf named Adya. Together they search for what Alaric hopes will hold the cure, and in the process get into a whole different mission, that of saving the world. A Threat of Shadows by author JA Andrews is a complex and captivating story of adventure and redemption.
A Threat of Shadows is the first part of The Keeper Chronicles, and although it seems to be a complete story, after thinking about it when I was finished with the book, I did see a number of ways a second book could be written from this excellent starting point. Author JA Andrews has crafted a wonderfully complex tale that has many layers and themes. The choices we make in life, how do they define us or do they? It is a story of redemption and atonement, not for sins but from choices, and it is well written and compelling. This is an epic adventure story as well and would entertain a number of varied readers.
