A Better Tomorrow written by Ian J. Keeney is a story of love. When Jordan's fiancée was murdered during a robbery, he was given a second chance to save her life through a highly secretive and controversial experiment where Jordan’s consciousness was shifted from his present body to a different body, in the past and in another universe. However, Jordan failed and accidentally killed someone else. In this alternate universe, Jordan stays as a reckless fugitive running from the police. Jordan must now find the doctor who can help him return to reality and find the universe where his fiancée remains alive.
Ian J. Keeney creates a fascinating universe in this science fiction thriller novel. The author comes up with a story about the movement of consciousness through a multi-universe in the hope of finally finding a lost love. Do not be misled: This is not your typical love story. The book shows us that dreams are sometimes real and reality is surreal. Keeney’s descriptive style in writing helps make the book an interesting read. It is beautifully written and you can really paint vivid pictures while you are reading this terrific book. It has good pacing, too. I am not really a fan of science fiction stories because they have the tendency to overdo the elements required to make the plot not only fun to read but also consistent with its genre. A Better Tomorrow, however, has a fresh perspective and guarantees a remarkable reading experience. I must admit that I truly enjoyed reading the novel. Keeney brings my imagination to a place I have never been before.
