A Battle Between Brainy And Brainless is a work of fiction in the science fiction sub-genre and was penned by Dr (Prof) S. K. Biswas. Written from a first-person perspective, this unique short novel takes us into a narrative where we journey through the whole human body as a cell of the COVID-19 virus. We watch as the virus explores the universe of the human body with its various organs and systems and are taken into many battles and attacks as the virus spreads through and reacts to different parts of these systems. What results is a science fiction style action novel based on very real human biological facts.
Dr (Prof) S. K. Biswas has created a really interesting read that takes the collection of fiction surrounding COVID-19 into an entirely new direction. I found that the narrative viewpoint was interesting and very well developed, and it's clear that the author’s knowledge of the virus itself and how it affects the human body is accurate and fully detailed. There are some areas of error and plot derailment, but for the most part fans of highly alternative science fiction will be certain to be entertained and educated by the contents of this novel. I particularly enjoyed the use of metaphor to create an alien landscape and inner universe from the human body itself, which was cinematic and inventive. Overall, I would recommend A Battle Between Brainy And Brainless for readers seeking something original to read about the pandemic and the virus itself.
