"9/11 to Global Jihad: The Grand Plan" by Don Gould is an interesting look into the current events that Americans and the World as a whole are dealing with. CIA Deputy Director Richard Armstrong is a strong character who is older (which is refreshing in a book) and he is the one who leads a global hunt for the villains.
The first thing I can tell you about Don Gould's book is that it is very complex. There are a lot of layers and if you are not really paying attention while you read, you will miss something. There are a lot of very current themes in the plots and a lot of political preaching. I personally did not like all of the messages that were given in the political statements; however, it did not really take away from the story itself. "9/11 to Global Jihad: The Grand Plan" is a really intense book that takes you down several rabbit holes in the pursuit of the bad guys of the book. As a reader I really appreciate and enjoy complex plots with twists that I don't see coming. I would recommend this book for readers who like deep thinking plots. If you are a reader who is just looking for something light to sit back with this is not the book for that. However, it is a book with a lot of depth and you can really sink your teeth into it, so if that is your kind of book "9/11 to Global Jihad: The Grand Plan" is a must read for you. I look forward to seeing what else Dan Gould may come out with.
