Zack's Adventures by Sherri Fulmer Moorer is a cute story about Zack, a sun conure parrot. Zack is having an ordinary day when his pals Bob and Bella decide to take him on an adventure. They run into other animals as they explore their neighborhood. Later, Zack's mommy and daddy take him to a festival where they get him a sister. Zack and his new sister Chloe get along right from the start. They meet an alien bird who tries to forcefully recruit Ollie and Zack to be budgie-bots, but Chloe puts up a fight that saves her brothers. Late, we meet Bubbles, a blue parrot with a load of personality. The two go on an adventure to investigate a magic stick.
Sherri Fulmer Moorer did a good job with Zack's Adventures. The pictures painted a vivid backdrop for the story. The pets in this tale all have beautiful personalities and are full of adventure. The story is creative and unusual, which showcases the author's imaginative mind. The story has interesting plot twists, like the introduction of the avian alien and the magic stick. I did not expect the plot to develop in the direction it did. This kept me glued to the book because I did not want to miss anything. I would love to hang out with Zack and his colorful friends, and I hope to read more stories about his adventures.
