You’re Pulling My Leg! Junior by Allen Wolf is an excellent game for families to play together, weaving creativity, storytelling, communication, and bluffing skills. The game is simple; a player picks a card and selects one of the three topics. They then flip a coin indicating whether they will tell a true story or a made-up story. The other players then bet points on whether the person is telling a true or false story. When people vote by putting up the number of fingers they would like to bet, they are working toward earning 21 points. The only equipment is the cards (included in the document), a coin, pen and paper for scoring, and a group ready to have a lot of fun by telling stories. This really can be a lot of fun with a family or even younger players.
"Tell me about one of your favorite pictures or tell me a time when you told the truth even though you wanted to lie or tell me something you would never eat" is an example of three choices given to the player to give a true or false story. It is a very creative game and benefits the family by having fun together, communicating openly, challenging storytelling skills, and developing self-esteem in telling stories. There are also variations of the game indicated in the rules, including having a person read the assigned topic for the story. Allen Wolf has put together a wonderful game for the family with You’re Pulling My Leg! Junior. My review is simple as the game is simple and highly recommended for players of all ages. I especially recommend playing the game with your family and having a great time!
