Yes, I Can: The Adventures of Super Obi is a children’s picture book by Dominique Okonkwo with illustrations by Mariana Hnatenko. Little Obi wakes up one Saturday morning and feels optimistic. He sneaks into his parent's and siblings' rooms to confirm they are still asleep. Then he decides to finish constructing his dinosaur block puzzle. Unfortunately, he causes a commotion that wakes his baby sister and the rest of the family. Everything Obi tries to do does not seem to go as planned, and he gets frustrated when he eventually finds himself in the hospital with a broken arm. Why is everything he tries not working? Well, his mother has the answer. Get a copy to discover the solution to Obi’s predicament.
Yes, I Can is a beautiful story with charming characters and a powerful message. Obi is adorable, and children will relate to him and his cheerful nature. His cute blanket cape makes him look like a superhero, and he has a caring family that loves him and is always there for him. He also shows his love for them by checking on them when he wakes up. Everyone needs a helping hand, and we must remember that friends and family are willing to assist us. Even when you seem alone, God is always watching over and guiding you. Dominique Okonkwo does a great job of presenting this message to kids. This story is entertaining and has colorful illustrations that will grab your children's attention and keep them glued to the pages. I recommend parents and caregivers add this fantastic book to their children's reading collection. I look forward to more from this author. Brilliant work.
