Carolyn Ellison made many mistakes in her early life, and like most of us, she wishes she could turn back the hands of time to all of her bad decisions. Sounds familiar? But as Ms. Ellison reminds us in her new book, "Words to Live by Lesson Learned", we cannot dwell on the past; we have to look to the future. In it Carolyn Ellison combines personal experiences with Biblical insights to show how God renewed her mind, and gave her a purpose for living. Carolyn’s journey was not easy, just as each of our journeys is not always easy, but she will show you how to trust in God and rely on Him to carry you through the rest of this journey called life, just as He did in her life.
"Words to Live by Lesson Learned" is a perfect name for this book because it is so chunked full of words of comfort, wisdom, help, peace, forgiveness, grace, redemption and so on. Each poem Ms. Ellison has written has a couple of scriptures to go along with them. One poem that is special to me from this book is, 'You Don’t Have to Wonder', telling me to know God’s love, and assuring me that when the time comes, I will know true Love. You will find this heartwarming poem as well as over 150 pages of other wonderful poems about promises and wisdom from God’s Word in this beautiful book. As you can tell, I really loved and enjoyed this book very much. And I highly recommend it to everyone out there, because I assure you, you will find something you need within its pages.
