Woodstock To St. Joseph's is a slice-of-life drama novel by Steve Lindahl. The book opens with Corrine Hedden bringing her terminally ill aging father, Gregory, to St. Joseph's Oratory in Montreal, Quebec, in the hopes of a miracle cure. The narrative then shifts POVs between Corrine and Gregory as they navigate their lives over the decades, beginning with Gregory meeting Corrine's mother, Cynthia (Cyn), at Woodstock Festival in 1969. Feeling an instant attraction, Gregory and Cynthia end up falling in love and eventually get married after moving to live in a comune called Libra Park in New York. But a tragic accident takes Cyn away from Gregory and her then six-year-old daughter, Corrine, who is plagued by guilt all her life. However, faith finds a way to bring hope into people's lives as Corrine prays to save her father's life in the present.

A heartwarming tale of a father and daughter trying to navigate their lives after losing their loved one, Woodstock To St. Joseph's feels like a balm for your soul. Author Steve Lindahl tells a story about faith, love, and hope that is guaranteed to strike a chord in your heart. The realistic characters and emotionally resonant narrative pack quite a punch, and you find yourself glued to the pages, eager to know what happens to your favorite characters. Both Gregory and Corrine go through the ups and downs of life and depend on their guardian angel to guide and show them the way. Overall, I found Woodstock To St. Joseph's to be a beautiful slice-of-life story suitable for everyone.
