Witty Tales is a collection of funny stories by Barbara Cohea. Most of the stories are about animals and awkward situations. Some of the tales are connected, such as You Young People Are So Cute and Bar Hoping, about getting older. The stories have nonsensical characters who try to smuggle animals at the airport, steal cows in small vehicles, or get busted for using a cat for a prison break. The author has also added stories about weird vanity plates and using underwear as headgear. To enjoy these comedic tales, get a copy of this book.
Witty Tales made me belly laugh and kept me entertained from start to finish. Whether it was appreciating a dog for a courageous act or a hilarious court case about a naked man, Barbara Cohea grabbed my attention. She made me relate to the narrator’s thoughts on the topic. The author made simple everyday tasks like taking a shower or brushing your teeth hilarious. Each story felt like a casual conversation and had a smooth flow. I loved getting to know the characters and stepping into their lives. The stories with animals were my favorites because they are credible and could happen to you or someone you know. The author added twists and turns to the stories, which made them intriguing and kept me glued to the pages. The book has a consistent format and is well organized. I highly recommend this anthology to anyone who loves reading comedic stories. These will make you smile for days.
