Thea learns she is in Grimwalde and is a princess. Kieran tells her about her family’s history. What bothers Thea is her father killed her mother and Amara is her sister. Therefore, Thea faces the quandary of how she is going to right the wrongs of the past.

I could see Thea’s turmoil. First, she thought her parents abandoned her, and then she lost her adoptive family. Horn weaves a story involving psychological issues with magical elements. I felt disappointed with some of Thea’s decisions, but this also shows how she grows throughout the story. I understood why Kieran wishes to kill Thea’s father and felt betrayal from Thea, who doesn’t want death to be his fate. Vivid depictions of the scenery and the characters made it easy for me to envision every part of the book. I could feel the pain and passion Thea and Kieran felt as the story unfolded. There is never a dull moment in Wings of Fate. Readers who like fantasy stories with a mixed array of unicorns, Pegasuses, and more will enjoy this book. The cliffhanger ending has me expecting the sequel.

The plot in Wings of Fate: A Kingdoms of Faerie Novel by Skye Horn is complicated and has fantasy and faerie elements. The story is fast-paced and had my attention from the start. I could not stop reading. There is a lot of magic and the story is engaging. I was plunged into a magical world with mythical creatures and goddesses. It was well written and exciting, and the fight between good and evil was skillfully handled. The characters were extraordinary and described in such a way that I felt like I knew them. I enjoyed the romance between Thea and Kieran and the way they complemented each other. The suspense had me on the edge of my seat, and I could not wait to see what was going to happen next. The end was a big surprise and nothing at all I expected.
