Author Biography

Hello, I'm Jason. You may know by now that I am a Christian Author who writes Young Adult and Fantasy books. What you may not know is that aside from pursuing a career in writing Christian fiction novels, I work a full time job in a local high school as the night custodian foreman. That's right, when I'm not working on creating fantastical worlds for you to enjoy, I'm sweeping floors and scrubbing toilets used by teenagers. Glamorous work it is not, but it is actually where I form most of my book scenes, in my head as I work.
I was born and raised in Pennsylvania, were I still live to this day with my wife and two kids. Aside from writing, I also enjoy anything automotive (one of the most expensive hobbies you can have, just ask my wife), riding atv's and utv's (I have a Vlog on YouTube where I ride around and talk about my adventures in self publishing, and in life, called Author Trek) and martial arts (though I'm a bit out of practice).

“Dreams are but a doorway to your heart.” Such are the powerful words that open this beautiful and epic tale and they are words that captured my heart and got me interested in this story that is filled with wisdom, action, and entertainment. A perfect blend of sci-fi and fantasy, Wielder of the Gauntlets by Jason Dimmick is a compelling opening for the Armor of the Fallen series, which will have an irresistible appeal to both young and adult readers. The fallen angels are rising, and mankind may sink finally, never to rise again. But there is some hope, a small hope in an orphan who lives with his uncle, a boy called Tim and an unlikely hero. Now the Gauntlets have chosen him. The question is: Does he have what it takes to wield the power entrusted to him?

Wielder of the Gauntlets by Jason Dimmick is the kind of book that fans of Harry Potter will love because it entrusts great power into the hands of an unlikely hero — an image of Jesus couldn’t escape my mind when I consider that Tim is an insignificant character. Character development is perfect. I enjoyed the growth process of Tim. From the moment he begins to learn about his destiny, the reader notices a journey, an interior journey that begins to take place in him, a journey that leads him to more confidence, trusting in a power beyond himself, and giving himself courageously. The plot is wonderfully wrought and themes of heroism, faith, love, and salvation come across beautifully. This was a very satisfactory story with manifold lessons. It’s gripping, fast-paced, and intricately written.

Wielder of the Gauntlets (Armor of the Fallen Book 1) by Jason A. Dimmick is a stunning fantasy tale about a boy named Tim. Tim has lived at an orphanage his whole life, until his uncle finds him. Tim goes to New England to be with his uncle Joe. One day, Tim feels the Gauntlets calling to him, and since then realizes that he can run extremely fast and jump extremely far. But, there are also evil people, known as Legion Enterprise, trying to get the Gauntlets as well. Tim must protect the Gauntlets and fight Legion Enterprise. Can he do it?

I really enjoyed reading Wielder of the Gauntlets (Armor of the Fallen Book 1) by Jason A. Dimmick. The book is very fast-paced and exciting, filled with action scenes that will keep the reader on the edge of their seat with excitement. I was hooked by the very first page, and couldn't put the book down. The characters were all very likeable, because they are brave, smart, and selfless. The story is descriptive and well thought out. I liked that the book had many action scenes and a few funny parts. The book has a lot of suspense and is very thrilling, with a plot twist that I didn't see coming. I enjoyed the cliffhanger ending and can't wait to read the next book. I would recommend Wielder of the Gauntlets to all readers.

Wielder of the Gauntlets by Jason A. Dimmick is Book One of a Christian Young Adult series called Armor of the Fallen. I enjoyed Wielder of the Gauntlets very much, and I look forward to reading the rest of the series. I like books that inspire young people to be strong. I like books that inspire young people to do the right thing. Wielder of the Gauntlets does both, and it does these things very well. There is a passage in the Bible that talks about putting on the Armor of God. I have heard this passage used in sermons in my church back in Alabama, and at churches in California and South Korea. I have thought that this passage could inspire a good novel in the right hands and I think the hands of Jason A. Dimmick might be those hands.

There are several powerful themes that run through Wielder of the Gauntlets. One is that it takes more than faith to triumph over evil. It also takes dedication, hard work, and training. This is shown when Tim, the protagonist of the book, trains to master the tools he has been chosen to wield. Jason A. Dimmick does a good job of showing the value of knowledge, the value of good teachers, and the value of training. Tim, Joe, and Mark are family and good friends. But it is their roles of teachers and apprentices that prepare them to battle evil head on. I look forward to the next book and to a deeper look into this world and these relationships.
