Who Needs Mistletoe? is a work of romance and comedic fiction set during the festive Christmas season, and was penned by author Laura Chapman. In this charming contemporary tale of music and mistletoe, we meet musical star Charlie London when she is at the peak of her career. But just before Christmas, Charlie finds her Hollywood A-list boyfriend caught in the arms of another by the press, and her chart-topping band bumped off the holiday concert scene. When she travels to Wyoming in an effort to put everything back into place, support and surprising feelings come from someone that’s been by her side all along, someone who’s been waiting for a moment like this to arrive.
Author Laura Chapman has created an ideal read that should be on every romance fan’s list this holiday season. Fans of works like Love Actually and Valentine’s Day will adore the high-flying life that Charlie leads, and how it all comes tumbling down into a disaster that will change her life for the better. She and guitarist Flint have superb character development and chemistry in both their descriptions and dialogue, which Chapman works through realistically and comedically on every page. There’s never a moment where a smile isn’t around the corner, and the overall atmosphere of love and happiness fits extremely well with the holiday season and the light, airy sensation of Christmas itself. Overall, Who Needs Mistletoe? is an excellent read suitable for all Christmas romance audiences: a perfect romance to curl up with this winter.
