As a child and young adult, Michael Farrell had a problem accepting the capabilities and numerous gifts that God had given him. Almost held back by his low self-esteem and shy nature, Michael shares how he was able to bypass this and attain the heights that God had destined for him. In When Perfection Isn't Perfect, Michael writes about his life experiences and the struggles he faced to achieve the feat of being a very accomplished placekicker in the history of NCAA Division III. When Perfection Isn't Perfect contains Bible verses and motivational quotes that Michael uses to encourage and enlighten his readers. It also contains pictures of Michael Farrell at different stages of his life.
I loved When Perfection Isn't Perfect because it is real and honest. Michael Farrell shows us the different stages of his growth in football. This reinforces the value placed on hard work, determination, and diligence. I also love the way Michael talked about his challenges and how he was able to surmount them. When Perfection Isn't Perfect is a book that encourages Christians to depend on God and lean on Him for every problem they may encounter in life. I love the fact that the book provides words of wisdom and nuggets to help one live a successful and fulfilling life. This is a book that I would encourage every believer in the Christian faith who is going through difficult times to read. This is a good book from Michael Farrell.
