Promising author P.E. Padilla has done a great job in presenting a creative new work in the genre of fantasy fiction, with the first book in his planned Harmonic Magic series, Vibrations. The story follows Sam Sharp, a loner, used to doing things on his own ever since his father died when he was a young boy. In a strange twist of fate, Sam finds himself unusually transported to Gythe, a world very different from his own. Sam wants to get back home, but without help from the Gray Man, a tyrant with the ability to master energy, he won't be able to get there. Needing help from those he meets along the way - a warrior, a monk, a scholar, and a creature with telepathic abilities - Sam has to get over his need to be completely independent if he wants to get home.

Vibrations was a great new read by an author I had not known about before. Author P.E. Padilla has written a book that will have readers turning the pages from the very beginning and obsessively reading until the end. Readers who love to discover a new author with a unique voice, and especially those who love fantasy, will absolutely enjoy Vibrations. I have no qualms in recommending this book very highly, and I certainly hope that author P.E. Padilla is hard at work on the next installment even now. I, for one, will certainly be keeping my eye out for it. If it's anything like Vibrations, it will definitely be worth the read!

In Vibrations: Harmonic Magic Book 1 by author P.E. Padilla, readers will be taken along on quite an adventurous journey. Follow the story of protagonist Sam Sharp, a loner who has difficulty relating to people ever since his father died when he was young, as he finds himself transported to Gythe, a world very different from his own. Self-sufficient Sam finds that he will need to ask for help in order to get back home, something that he has rarely had to do and, frankly, isn't sure that he can. Sam finds that he may be able to use some of the vibrational energy in Gythe to transport him back, but he will need the Gray Man to help him. The Gray Man, a tyrant, is an energy master, and his main goal is to rule the world; he has little interest in helping others if it won't help him. Will Sam be able to figure out a way to learn the Gray Man's secrets or will he be stuck in Gythe forever? You'll need to read the book to find out!

I very much enjoyed Vibrations and was excited to see that it is the first book in a planned series. Author P.E. Padilla has done a great job at creating dynamic and interesting characters that his readers will connect with, relate to, and will continue to think of long after the story is done. If that isn't a sign of a great author, I'm not sure what is. And the author's world creating ability is second to none. Readers will feel as if they are in Gythe as they are reading. Any reader who is looking for a new and unique work of fantasy fiction should absolutely read Vibrations: Harmonic Magic Book 1 by author P.E. Padilla. I am pleased to recommend this book and very much look forward to reading the next in the series as soon as it is available!
