Unveiled: A Novel by Teri Davis is a mystery drama novel that is set in an Ohio suburb in 1978. A thirteen-year-old girl, Jodie, is bothered by the memory of a murder that she witnessed when she was four years old. The official story is that there was an attempt to molest her and her father killed the perpetrator. Hailed as a hero, her father did not go to jail. There is, however, a nagging feeling in Jodie about the incident that will not go away. When Doug, a relative of the murdered man, comes to live in the suburb, Jodie finds an ally in the investigation that she and her best friend, Joyce, have started and it will lead them to a most unexpected discovery.
Teri Davis's Unveiled: A Novel has all the elements of a great mystery drama. A thirteen-year-old girl, bothered by a hazy memory of a fatal incident in which she was involved, decides to find out the truth. With the help of her friends, Doug and Joyce, she gathers clues, reconstructs events and tries to jog her memory. Unveiling the mystery proves to be a difficult task, especially if it involves people close to you and your family. And this is one of the reasons why Unveiled is such a cliffhanger of a story. Author Teri Davis is a master in leaving just enough clues that excite the imagination but do not reveal too much. And as you follow Jodie in the unveiling of the twists and turns of her young past, you're not going to put this book down until you get to the bottom of the mystery. A thrilling must-read for fans of crime, sleuth and murder mystery novels.
