Unicorn, Don’t Do That! (It's okay if a Unicorn poops on your doorstep) by Lois Wickstrom is a humorous children’s book about a unicorn named Stega, who poops rainbows. One day Stega is invited to her friend Benny’s party and she needs to find a gift. She searches for the perfect gift and comes across some delicious treats. Unfortunately, Stega eats them on the way to the party and her stomach starts rumbling just as she reaches Benny’s front door. Stega can't help but poop and she instantly feels sad. How will Benny react?
This book will without a doubt entertain your little one and have them laughing the whole way through. The illustrator of the book, Ada Konewki, has perfectly created Stega to be innocent, funny, and cute. The story itself is beautifully written and although it isn't necessarily supposed to be educational, I did feel as if there is a valuable lesson there to be learned. The lesson is that, like unicorns, everyone is different and unique and has fun qualities that make them who they are. Unicorn, Don't Do That! contains rhyming and simple sentences that will make it easy for young ones to read or follow along. Lois Wickstrom has a collection of children's stories available on Amazon and each one looks inviting and just as creative as this one. So what are you waiting for? Head over to Lois Wickstrom's Amazon author page and pick from her many enticing children's books.
