Marie Allan's Unfailing Love is her own personal story. As a young girl, she goes through extraordinary experiences that scarred her emotionally. Her parents married young and divorced twice and their children has to live through the pain of the separation. Feeling unloved and rejected and abused by an uncle, Marie's self esteem spirals down, and it seems like nothing can save her anymore. She is haunted by dreams that makes her scared and confused. At the age of eleven, she starts attending Sunday school and this is the beginning of a love affair that will slowly put her life in a totally different direction. Her relationship with Jesus helps her heal her wounded spirit in the midst of a disjointed family life, school bullying and dealing with her own demons. At the age of nineteen, she marries the wrong guy and has an early pregnancy and her life's trials continues. She sometimes waver in her faith but in the end, love conquers all and she ultimately discovers the biggest love of her life.
Unfailing Love is an inspirational story that is told with honesty and conviction. Marie Allan's life story is full of hardships but her love affair with Jesus lets her survive all the trials that her journey brings her. It is a compelling story told in a simple way. Her vivid description of her childhood certainly helps in bringing the reader to experience her life with her. One of the remarkable things I notice in the way she relates her story is that the author speaks to her readers without any bitterness. She is a great example of a person who has been hurt and then healed. This is why Unfailing Love is a must read for those who are going through difficult phases in their lives. The book also contains verses from the Bible that will ease any pain that we may be going through at any time of our lives. It is obviously the author's intention to make her story an inspiration to other Christians. I admire her bravery in spilling the most intimate and painful details of her life in order to help others.
