True Colors: Book Three (The Colors Trilogy) by K.R. Raye is the last book of the series. Imani Cabrette is proud and independent, which makes her handle things without asking anyone for help. But then, Imani is a helpful friend and her friendship with Melody Wilkins is proof of that. Things change when Imani's world is toppled; she loses her husband Marco in a car accident. She is shattered and finds herself being dependent on others. Will Melody and Lance Dunn, the one she ditched for another man, come to help at the lowest point in her life? Will they be there for her the way true friends are meant to be or will she find herself alone?
The story is reflective of the challenges that each of us as individuals face in life. Imani Cabrette is strong, intelligent, proud and independent and the author has portrayed her well. The other characters, Melody and Lance, have equally important roles to play. And their portrayal is also a vital part of the story. It is a story of friendship and how relationships and people evolve slowly in due course because of their personal experiences. The book is an engaging and entertaining read which will keep readers glued to the plot. Life is the essence of the main theme and it has been conveyed very well. The theme revolves beautifully around Lance Dunn, Melody Wilkins and Imani Cabrette in this story of lasting friendship and love.
