Time Fall by Timothy Ashby is a unique story connecting World War II Germany, present day Germany and just a touch of science fiction, creating a great reading experience. Lt. Arthur Sutton and his team of American soldiers are fighting the Germans in 1945. The team is parachuted into Germany on a mission to destroy enemy targets. When a freak storm hurls them forward in time, they land in the forest but the year is 2011. The team of six men have no idea that they are no longer fighting the Nazis and are surprised how easy it is to get close to the enemy targets and blow them up. The present day German police believe them to be terrorists and their mission is to capture and kill. Lt. Sutton is injured and left behind in the home of an old Nazi hero who is now 90 years old and ailing. His granddaughter has the job of convincing Arthur that he is, in fact, in the year 2011 and Germany is no longer an enemy of America. The rest of the team travels on, destroying the targeted locations. Sutton is convinced and tries to catch up with and protect his fellow soldiers. There is lots of interaction between the soldiers of 1945 and the police of 2011, resulting in battles, death and surprises.
Timothy Ashby has written a book with so much to offer the reader. Time Fall will transport you to World War II as you feel the emotions of the fighting men. Time Fall will draw you a realistic picture of the Germany of today. Time Fall will offer you a touch of science fiction and romance as six men are suddenly thrown 66 years into the future. I really enjoyed every aspect of this book as I was pulled into the story by the expert writing of Timothy Ashby. Time Fall is a sure fire winner.
