In The Wizard of Kharathad: Tales of Dogalas, the young author Matia ben Ephraim provides her readers with an engrossing and absolutely intriguing story of fantasy fiction that will have them reading way longer into the night than they had ever planned. Follow the story of Dogalas, an honorable young man from Kharathad, who is excited to begin his quest to be trained as a semi-wizard. He must travel from his farmstead home to the Wizard of the Tower to receive his training. But while Dogalas has long wondered about the practice of magic and is eager to begin his training, he has no idea of the adventures and dangers he is about to encounter on his journey, or what his real destiny is.
I loved The Wizard of Kharathad: Tales of Dogalas. Loved. It. How's that for a review? Well, it's truly how I felt about this book. It's hard to believe that this amazing story was written by such a young author, and it's obvious that this young woman has a lot to offer the literary world. Any reader who enjoys works of epic fantasy, think The Lord of the Rings here, should read this book as soon as possible. I think that this story would have a special appeal to young adult readers, but adults would enjoy it immensely as well. I highly recommend The Wizard of Kharathad: Tales of Dogalas, and will definitely be keeping my eyes out for more from the incredibly talented author Matia ben Ephraim. With talent like hers, it's unlikely that she will remain undiscovered for long!
