Author Biography

Every year, I see all the new toys in donation bins awaiting new homes. Yet, there are so many used toys in need of new homes. There are so many children who do not have many toys to play with, so why do we limit the donations to only new toys? What if some of those new toys really were old toys given new life through the help of The Underground Toy Society?

The Underground Toy Society and the Annual Toy Drive by Jessica D. Adams is a fun children's book that follows a society that helps unloved toys. The Underground Toy Society helps toys that are no longer played with find new homes where children will love them. One night Murry Mole, who dug holes for the society, dug into a toy store. The members of the Underground Toy Society decided to look around, and they saw a toy donation box. The toy donation box would give toys to children who don't have any. The Underground Toy Society members thought they could use it to help their toys, but the box only accepts new toys, and their toys are all well loved. What will they do?

I really enjoyed reading The Underground Toy Society and the Annual Toy Drive by Jessica D. Adams. The book is really well written and well organized. The book is descriptive and very creative and I think the idea of an Underground Toy Society is really cool and a great idea for a children's book. The book is full of excitement and fun. The characters are all very likeable, because they want to do what they can to help other toys, and they are great at problem-solving. Parents and children will enjoy reading this book. The pictures, drawn by Jessica, Janiece, and Janelle Adams, are very colourful and help to show each character and each toy. I would recommend this book to all young readers.
