The Secret Of The Twin Parchments: The Golden One by B. A. Knight is a YA fantasy story. Deanna and Alia live in Paris with their grandmother, following the death of their parents. Alia is struggling to come to terms with it and needs some answers. Those answers are there in a diary written by her mother but, first, the girls need to find it. Following the clues, they embark on a treasure hunt like no other, a treasure hunt that will lead them into danger, straight to an evil enemy who wants the diary. The diary isn’t any ordinary diary, though. It’s a magical parchment, the most powerful one in the magical world, known as The Golden One, and the girls suddenly find out that there’s a twin to it. Now, the race is on to find it and keep it out of the clutches of a time-traveling enemy.
The Secret of the Twin Parchment: The Golden One by B. A. Knight is a fun story, filled with adventure and fantasy. It is slow to get started but bear with it; everything you read is important to the story. The characters are fun, very well developed, and somewhat unique in their abilities; as the story goes on, you get to know them well. The plot is a different take on the genre with plenty of action and many twists and turns to keep you hooked. There are lots of things going on in the story but, in the end, everything comes together as it should. Great story, and I look forward to reading more like this in the future.
