Paired with an elf named Pinnip, a Dragon Hunter who helps him evade dragon slayers and hatch dragon eggs, he accidentally commits crimes and faces a lifetime in prison. While awaiting trial, the Evil Fairy comes to him, telling him that all he has to do is swear a blood oath and he will be set free so he can see his mother again. Will Nathan be tempted by this offer and what will happen to the Sapphire dragon egg waiting to be hatched?
Vik Walker’s The Sapphire Dragon of Nital (Dragons of Nital) is an enchanting story about the adventures of a young boy in his role as a Dragon Guardian in the magical world of Nital. Action-packed and fast-paced, the setting is well-developed with a complex cast of characters and numerous twists and turns. The magic system here is unique and fascinating but it’s easy to follow as Nathan’s adventures unravel. This is a coming-of-age story about a young boy who learns that he can do more than he believed himself capable of. The way the dragons are woven into his world is unusual and seamless. This is a charming story about a young boy who has to choose between good and evil and it is a delightful read.
