The tales in The Princess Fables have a special meaning. Author Marc Clark’s young daughter did not want to go to school, so he told her these stories while getting her ready for school. It was later when he wrote the stories down that this book was born. Each of these stories has a special meaning, because Clark would make up the stories according to how his daughter felt that particular day. There was a Princess that said, “I Don’t Wanna,” to everything; another that always said, “No,” and another that “Wouldn't Wake Up” and yet another that would always say, “Not Today.” And there are seven more Princess stories that you will love!
I really loved The Princess Fables and my hope is that every parent that comes in contact with this book will add it to their child’s library. Marc Clark is a fantastic storyteller, and each of these tales takes you to an imaginative fairyland and grabs your attention. I love that Marc used each story to teach his daughter valuable life lessons that will help her as she leaves her comfortable home environment and ventures out into the world on her own. And now children everywhere can learn these same lessons as they read this book or have it read to them. This book will teach children how to deal with what life will throw at them before it happens, and let them know they can always talk to you as their parent or caregiver. In addition to all of the wonderful things in this book, you will find an illustration of a fabulous Princess at the beginning of each story. Illustrator Eric Hosford is responsible for these enchanting images. This book is amazing inside and out, and I highly recommend it.
