The Pirates of Cayo Pelau: The Adventures of Harry Morgan Series by Clabe Polk is the story of a group of friends and how their world view is changed when they go sailing. Harry Morgan is known as Captain Loggerhead among his friends. When Harry got a new sailboat, he invited his friends to go on a sailing adventure. He took them to the island that the famous pirate Jose Gasper used to visit. However, when they got there, they realized that this island harbored a lot of secrets. There was a human trafficking ring on the island and Captain Loggerhead and his friends were smack in the middle of it. Now they are stuck in a moral dilemma. They could easily walk away and get on with their lives. Or, they could help those poor people in the hands of the traffickers. Can they do something about it or will they become victims as well?
The Pirates of Cayo Pelau: The Adventures of Harry Morgan Series by Clabe Polk is a real adventure novel, one that will take you on a journey with Captain Loggerhead (I liked to call him Harry every time) and his group of friends as they come across something horrible. Harry is a real character, he is opinionated and he is not afraid to share his opinions with you. You will feel his emotions, his passion, and his dilemma as he makes some very tough decisions. The author has done an incredible job of giving you a complete slice of life, one that is incredibly well-paced, very entertaining and filled with real twists and turns. And to have done this in less than a hundred pages is actually astonishing.
