What impressed me most about the book and the series so far is how the author manages to tell an absorbing story while highlighting the sacrifices made by First Responders, in this instance, police officers, who take enormous risks to perform their duties to help people in need. The plotting is tight, and the narrative is smooth and moves at a brisk pace. Noah and Dani's friendly banter continues to entertain, and I especially enjoyed the focus on family dynamics, which made the characters feel even more multi-faceted. With a seamless mix of mystery, humor, action, and supernatural elements woven into the narrative, urban fantasy lovers are in for a treat. Recommended to both young adults and adults alike.

Dani is witty, independent, and responsible, while Noah’s unpredictable yet humorous actions and statements captivate one’s attention. The well-developed characters perfectly suited the storyline to create an entertaining narrative that makes me want to read the next book to discover how their next rescue mission unfolds. I enjoyed reading this book, which was well-written, with amusing dialogue and exciting adventures in every chapter.
