In The Ovary Wars, terrorists have devised a new scheme for destroying the United States. When the Professor joined forces with China to develop his theory on population control, he never expects the Chinese to use his theory to attack the US. US women cannot longer conceive. The population of the US takes a drastic turn downward. The economy is greatly affected. Couples are depressed and desperate to conceive a child. The government knows the US is headed for an economic collapse.
While the Professor claimed to be acting out of concern for the planet, the Chinese see an opportunity to achieve their greatest goal, bring the US to her knees. The reader watches as the different factions acted out of different agendas: population control, terrorism, world dominance, the desire for a child and money.
The Ovary Wars is fiction, but the plot is very realistic. It is easy to imagine something this drastic happening in the future. The characters are very human. Many have flaws and many will touch your heart. The plot is fantastic. I could not put this book down until I read every page. It is hard to believe that The Ovary Wars is Mike Hogan’s first book. He writes like a seasoned author. The ending of this book is exquisite. I hope there is a movie deal in the making. The plot of The Ovary Wars would be great fodder for the big screen.
