The genius CEO of AI company Quantum World and a time corrector, Dr. Vincent Abajian had just brought his long-lost love Akane Egami back into his life, but at what cost? Akane had been lost in a time turbulence for over three decades since 1991. It was during this time that Vincent met Emika, whom he later realized had Akane’s soul trapped inside her. In a bid to separate Akane from Emika, Vincent had gone back in time to alter the current reality. Although he now had Akane back, he had lost fragments of his memory involving Emika, with whom he shared a past. It turns out that Emika is still in love with Vincent and is hiding a big secret from him. What secret, and what will happen once Vincent recovers his memory? On the other hand, Vincent’s new powerful adversary Vandal plans to sabotage Quantum World’s new AI invention, the Neurolink. As if that is not enough, Vandal is hell-bent on destroying everything Vincent has accomplished and everyone he loves. Get yourself Avi Datta’s The Movement: Time Corrector Series Book 2 to find out what transpires.

Avi Datta’s The Movement is just what you should be looking for if you love a science fiction novel with a touch of mystery, action, and romance. Featuring the savvy Dr. Abajian, Datta once again delivers a compelling tale. I strongly recommend that you read the first installment of this series to fully appreciate the story. Datta hatches an intriguing plot, giving vivid descriptions that bring the scenes to life. He alternates the narration between the past and present, while at the same time switching the action between designated characters. This gave the storyline a complicated but beautiful flow. Datta spices the narration with humor, adventure, thrills, and suspense, keeping readers enthralled throughout the reading experience. The emotion in his words allowed me to experience his wonderfully developed cast’s feelings. I pitied Markus. He gave Emika all the love and care he could, but she didn’t choose him. She was obsessed with Vincent and Markus should have realized that. I loved the book and am looking forward to the next installment of this amazing series.

The Movement: Time Corrector Series Book 2 by Avi Datta continues the story of Vincent, a man who has a unique ability to alter time. He should be enjoying life as his company is doing well and he has the woman he loves, Akane, back with him. Someone called Vandal is out to get him. Akane is attacked and Vincent cannot stand the thought of losing her to this monster. In a bid to save her, he tries to change history, to make it as if she had never even met him. But his actions soon lead to strange consequences as he tries to correct his mistakes and stop Vandal. Even with the power he commands, can he fix everything in time?

The Movement by Avi Datta is an interesting continuation of the series. Vandal is an unusual villain and it is not clear at first why he wants to bring Vincent down. I think the opening of the book will grab the attention of the reader as Vincent tries to save the love of his life after an attack. This is the catalyst that forces Vincent to make his choice. The story moved at a respectable pace. A lot is happening, but I enjoyed the narration and how it played out. I don't think that Vincent always comes across as an empathetic character, but his actions do prove that he loves Akane and will do anything for her. Science fiction fans would enjoy this book and I would recommend it.

The Movement: Time Corrector series Book 2 by Avi Datta once again sweeps readers into the vortex of time, seen from the eyes of those who view it in vastly different ways. Professor Vincent Abajian and Philip Nardin are time correctors, and to them, time is not linear. The intricacies of their world are infinite, and their actions can create effects with repercussions that reverberate through lives, the future, and the past. One incident gives birth to a nightmare in the form of Vandal, whose apparent history drives him on a quest for vengeance targeted at Vincent. The enigmas surrounding Vandal are endless: is his history steeped in fact or fiction, what is his connection to Vincent, and will his ultimate goals be revealed before he succeeds? These are just a few of the unknowns to this mystery. The truth revealed in the shocking climax will unravel all and shift readers’ emotions like the ebbing tide of altered time.

Avi Datta has once again crafted a mesmerizing tale in The Movement. It attempts to explore the endless potential of time and humans who exist in this medium. There is no doubt the story aims at readers more intent on immersive experiences, like the Dune series. The time shifts, the duality of characters, and the alternate POV narrative may prove daunting to some, but the richness of detail leaves no doubt this is a thoroughly compiled and intricately detailed world. The characters are on point, and surprisingly, it may be Vandal who piqued my interest the most; he is the quintessential villain who is, in many ways, a victim. Readers will be left to wonder what course his life may have taken if time was allowed to follow a different path from one pivotal incident. It is a layered tale that will linger in conscious thoughts for some time.

The Movement is Avi Datta’s second book in his Time Corrector Series that picks up from the events of the first installment, The Winding. In the first book, readers witnessed how the genius Vincent Abajian became preoccupied with his work at an AI facility and his creation of time turbulence to bring his friend back. This time, Vincent’s AI firm is booming and he is now able to control his powers. On top of that, Akane is still very much a part of his world. While successful businessmen make friends, they also attract enemies. Vandal is bent on destroying Vincent and everything that he holds dear. Vincent is equally resolved to protect what he values and makes it clear that some lines cannot be crossed.

This sequel has an excellent structure as it faithfully follows on from the events in the first book while still being readable as a standalone. Avi Datta never fails to sustain the intensity of the action and this time he raises the bar by way of the antagonist. Vandal makes a hateful villain and Datta has developed the character to be solid and utterly threatening. The story handles the concept of time travel intelligently. It’s a complicated concept that deals with paradoxes, but Chronos explains it with panache when he says that what Vincent can do is just a tiny smidgen of the asynchronicity between Earth time and Universal time. The Movement has just the right elements to carry readers to the next installment. The story arc provides a cliffhanger but doesn’t feel incomplete, because the series is still building to a climax. This book will not disappoint sci-fi lovers.

The second book in the Time Corrector Series by Avi Datta, The Movement takes off following the events described in its predecessor, The Winding. Vincent Abajian, the billionaire CEO of Quantum World and a renowned scientist, is on a mission to change the world, together with the love of his life, Akane Egami. However, he has gaps in his memories, and the unexpected arrival of a nefarious enemy named Vandal forces him to rely on his extraordinary abilities once again. After some of Vincent's closest friends fall prey to heinous attacks and Vandal sets out to sow chaos, Vincent has no choice but to travel through time and change the course of Akane's life. But by doing so, he will inadvertently find himself embroiled in secrets and lies going back decades, revealing an enemy he could never have anticipated.

If you're a fan of time travel sci-fi thrillers or stories involving alternate realities, you won't be disappointed with The Movement. Avi Datta takes time to set things in motion, but from the halfway point the narrative picks up the pace as the unexpected twists and turns of the plot shift the gears up a notch. The non-linear and multiple point-of-view format is handled in a way that never feels convoluted or confusing, and as a result, you find yourself breezing through the pages. Vincent has a distinct and compelling dynamic with both of his love interests, Akane and Emika, and this is the primary driving force behind the plot. A stellar addition to the Time Corrector Series.
