The Lunar Princess: Sugar Plum and Owl (Sugar Plum's Factory) (Volume 1) by T.S. Cherry is a beautiful children's book about a young princess named Sugar Plum, the daughter of the Lunar princess and the Sandman. Sugar Plum is incredibly powerful, but there is an evil king, King Constellation, looking to kidnap her. An owl named Orion starts caring for her, so she won't be kidnapped. But then one day Sugar Plum goes to work with the Sandman, and is kidnapped by King Constellation's army. Orion promises to bring her back, but will she be able to?
I really enjoyed reading The Lunar Princess: Sugar Plum and Owl by T.S. Cherry. I was hooked by the first page and I couldn't put the book down. The book is really enjoyable to read, because it is exciting, fast paced, and had many likeable characters. The book had some funny parts. The characters are all very likeable, especially Orion, as she is kind, brave and selfless. I liked how the names all had to do with night or sleep. The book has many action scenes that will keep the young reader on the edge of their seat. The book was fun to read, and children will want to read it again and again. The author, T. S. Cherry, clearly put time into developing the book because the names are creative, and the plot is exciting. The story was well-developed and thought out. I would recommend The Lunar Princess to all young readers.
