The Location Shoot is a contemporary romance drama by Patricia Leavy. Jean Mercier is a celebrated filmmaker whose latest venture includes a star-studded cast. Shot in the remote regions of Sweden, the film boasts names like legendary Hollywood megastar Finn Forrester along with veteran British names such as Albie Hughes. When Jean invites renowned American philosopher Ella Sinclair to the shoot, everyone is charmed by Ella's perceptive mind and fiercely independent spirit, none more so than Finn. Feeling an intense mutual attraction, Ella and Finn soon fall head over heels for each other. However, Finn's past baggage and Ella's hesitancy to completely give up control over her emotions put a spanner in their relationship. Patricia Leavy tells an absorbing story full of humor, heart, drama, and romance. The Location Shoot is one of those cozy romance novels that readers love. Maintaining an even pace, Leavy spins an entertaining yarn that is a breeze to read. This is primarily a character-driven story, and all of Leavy's role players are vibrant and charismatic and are bound to make a mark on the reader. Finn and Ella's relationship is at the center of the narrative. I enjoyed their dynamic. Despite coming from different worlds, the two formed an instant connection that is rare yet believable. I also liked the secondary characters and their storylines, especially Jean, Charlotte, Michael, and Albie. A delicious treat for romance lovers.
