The Last Cigarette: Five Steps to Quitting for Good by Carol Savoie attacks the issues of giving up smoking in an intuitive way. Step one, Carol explains is to find for yourself a really big reason to quit, the bigger, the better. The next step is to form a strategy. For example, the seven stage strategy she recommends includes choosing a quitting date, using powerful words to specify one's decision (the more powerful the word, the more likely the adherence!), and providing support tools as well as a reward system for yourself.
The Last Cigarette: Five Steps to Quitting for Good by Carol Savoie has five instinctive and shrewd steps. With each of these incorporating a feedback mechanism, it can easily be seen that this strategy is bound to win. She has explained each of these steps in detail, mentioning the rationale behind the ideas, which also look plausible. For example, she mentions the importance of rewarding oneself for success achieved at each stage so that one's mind does not deviate from the decision to quit. Included is the synergy brought in by a support system of well wishers augmenting one's efforts. A good book, this is a thorough guide covering all aspects of the issue, with assured after sales support for implementing the suggestions.
