In "The Hunt Book 4: Finders Keepers" high school student Iris Davenport is holding back a secret that no one would believe if she told them. As a young child, she was found stranded after a violent storm. Her past is a mystery to everyone else, but she has vague memories of the place where she was born, where she was chosen as a member of The Hunt. Iris is adopted by a wonderful couple who own a lodge set in an idyllic wilderness. She grows up happily exploring the trails and caves nearby, with no desire to acknowledge her special talents, or the hounds who appear to her, waiting for her and watching over her. Iris’s family is very active in the search and rescue community, and when Iris joins in on an especially difficult rescue party, she meets another member of the Hunt. She is forced to face who and what she is. Iris’s boyfriend, Nate, has his own secret which suddenly brings danger crashing into their peaceful lives. Their happy childhood days of roaming the great outdoors without a care are suddenly over as they face the danger that threatens their lives.
"The Hunt Book 4: Finders Keepers" is a very well-written story, with plenty of excitement and intrigue. Ms. Levigne has developed the characters very well, and she brings the story alive with her vivid descriptions. I recommend "The Hunt Book 4: Finders Keepers" to anyone who loves a bit of light science fiction with an exceptional plot.
