The book offers practical step-by-step guidance on how to write effectively and engagingly. Through a series of chapters, it covers essential topics such as understanding your writing style, creating reader-friendly messages, and balancing informational and relational goals. The book explores the intentional writing of emails and other messages, especially in the new world of working from home. The author’s approach is enlightening because she not only explains the strategies for enhancing the effectiveness of written communication but also supports these explanations with practical exercises, examples, and reflections that readers can use in their daily lives.

Erin Lebacqz is an excellent and informative writer. She makes ideas appear interesting and easy to grasp. In my early years of business, I could barely write professional emails, but after going through this book, I am so encouraged. I have benefited a lot from the strategies highlighted in this book, especially in enhancing my written communication with clients and colleagues. It is important to point out that the author's focus on the relational dimensions of writing, including tone, respect, and empathy, helps distinguish this book from other practical writing books. I highly recommend The High-Value Writing Workbook to a business person, a teacher, a student, or anybody who needs to step up their skills in the way they communicate, be it in the workplace or their personal life.
