The Hex Hunt (Vol.1) by Michelle Lowe is an adventure story of Rain, a farm girl and Sage, the magical fox. Sage is sent by the sorceress when a spell goes wrong. The adventure takes readers to an island, a town of caves where Rain has to crack the spell code to free the people of the island which is under the control of a sorceress.
It's a delightful adventure story for kids. To make it even more appealing, there are illustrations for every scene of the story. The story also has suspense and mystery, making it more gripping. Adventure stories have really caught on with readers. I found the illustrations very helpful for children to breathe life into the characters. They are also very bright and colorful which makes it eye catching for a child. Kids can read a scene and look into the pictures and interpret the scene very well. The characters, Rain and Sage, remain in your mind for a long time. Jaden is another character in the book whom Rain and Sage befriend during their adventure trip.
Since this is the first volume, there is definitely going to be a continuation or another adventure following this. Where will Jaden, Rain and Sage go next? Will Sage be able to crack the spell code before their next adventure?
