I'm starting to get the impression that Charlotte Wise was given her name for a reason as she seems to be truly wise in her offerings for health books! The Healthy Smoothie Recipes Book is the second book of hers that I've read and I think I like it even more than her book about walking your way to fitness. This book is bursting with recipes, seventy in fact, and they all offer different variations on classic smoothies, as well as really cool and unique options that I would never have thought to try.
I absolutely adore smoothies. I eat, er...drink?...them all the time, mostly with lots of fruits and juices and less of the veggies and stuff. The Healthy Smoothie Recipe book is full of more than just smoothie recipes, however. It also instructs you in some of the basics you might have been missing in the rush to your blender. You find out the difference between Smoothies, Juices, and Protein Shakes and how that can affect your body and workout. And speaking of workouts, there are all sorts of different smoothies that Charlotte Wise recommends for your post-workout burn! From workouts to medical ailments like diabetes, arthritis, surgery recovery and lots more, there is a smoothie for every occasion! The book itself is a quick read and very well crafted. I love the cover image. It made me want to eat the book up. Health nuts to fruit lovers, you will want to get your hands on this book if you want to learn how to make a better batch of smoothie deliciousness.
