Caregiving comes from different angles, and although the care starts at the hospital with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers, it eventually transitions to family members who must adapt to the new realities of helping take care of their loved ones. The patients might not give an accurate report of their progress; therefore, it is the role of caregivers to note signs of trouble, such as memory loss or strange behavior, and report them to the doctor. The community members participate in fundraising drives aimed at helping important issues, such as research. They also have a role in supporting individual families, as we see in the case of Cole when family members and friends come together to help financially and in other ways. To find out about caregiving, get a copy of The Greatest Burden The Greatest Blessing by Mark J. Resnick, Alan E. Rubel, and Michael D. Tenaglia.
I am a medic, and having spent a considerable amount of time in the hospital environment, I can say The Greatest Burden The Greatest Blessing by Mark J. Resnick, Alan E. Rubel, and Michael D. Tenaglia is a must-read not only for those involved directly in caregiving but for all members of society. I loved how the book offered a unique perspective and provided hope on a rather depressing subject. The book is highly effective in passing on the intended message, and the real-life examples help connect with the reader on a greater level. The resources provided will go a long way in helping a lot of people, and the easy-to-understand language used makes the book accessible to all kinds of readers. I cannot wait to read something else by these talented authors.
