M.D. Whalen was always the kid who sat in the back of the class scribbling stories and cartoons. Later he sat in front of the class scribbling stories, when he should have been teaching! Now he writes full time in the back of his house, where no one can hear him fart. He also enjoys cycling, world travel, and making rude noises in different languages.

The Fantastic Flatulent Fart Brothers' Big Book of Farty Facts by M.D. Whalen is an interesting, informative book that walks the reader through the science, history, and art of farting. The book explains everything that you'd ever want to know about farting, including how many farts it would take to power a bomb, where farting is illegal and where it's considered polite, and which animals communicate with farts. It explains jobs that involve farts, wars that almost started due to farts, and which foods will cause you to fart the most. It'll even tell you about the farts of cockroaches.
I really, really enjoyed reading The Fantastic Flatulent Fart Brothers' Big Book of Farty Facts by M.D. Whalen. The book is very well written, and absolutely perfect. It is extremely informative and readers will want to impress everyone with their new-found fart facts. I found this book very interesting, and it even made farts seem awesome. I was hooked by the first page, and I did not want to put the book down. I liked how it was organized into small blurbs about each topic, and so people in a rush could just read a page or two at a time. The pictures by Des Campbell are very well drawn and are sure to make the reader laugh or giggle. I absolutely loved this book, and would read it again. This book would be helpful if someone wanted to fart less, or fart more, as it explains which foods make you fart. I would definitely recommend this book to all readers.
