The Eagle & The Forest (The Earth-Watchers Series Book 4) by Lester Ferguson is a fascinating story that will take readers back to the summer of 1987 along with Sebastian Eisenhower II in search of his missing mother Cecily, and two fellow Earth-Watchers, Hansel and Emily Carpenter who went on an amazing trip to the Amazon Rainforest in Brazil to release Isabel, a huge Harpy Eagle, back into the wild. He was only 12 years old and he knew a gang who would help him. Though this gang was sympathetic to his ordeal, they did not know how they could help him to find three lost adults in a foreign country. Finally, as they set out on the journey, they are faced with unexpected situations that are dangerous. Will they succeed in their mission?
The Eagle & The Forest by Lester Ferguson takes young readers on an adventurous journey with Sebastian and his gang to explore the Amazon jungle and experience the unique fauna and flora there. The story is also a reminder about how the greed and wickedness of humans have wrecked the planet. The story will captivate readers and encourage them to travel to Brazil to experience the charm and mystery of the Amazon forest. The story has adventure and action and will ignite the curiosity of readers and pull them into the story. The illustrations capture the beauty of the forest and the tribes living there, making the story tangible. It is definitely a book worth having in a personal collection and in school libraries to make children appreciate and protect the earth, its fauna and flora, and the animals living here.
