The Dwarf and the Twins by Katharina Gerlach is about a pregnant woman who runs through the forest to escape the King's men. A dwarf named Martin decides to help her, not knowing that it would change his life. The woman soon gives birth to twins and asks the dwarf to name them. He names them Snow White and Rose Red. Snow White and Rose Red grow up into beautiful young women. One day Snow White has a vision that the King's men were after Martin so she sends Rose Red to save him.
I loved The Dwarf and the Twins. It was a great tale of love and survival, well written, interesting and very exciting. I like that there was the original story of Snow White and Rose Red along with Katharina Gerlach's version. I couldn't put the book down. The first page hooked me. I think that Katharina Gerlach did a great job of developing the characters. I enjoyed the book so much I can hardly explain how great it was. It was short and sweet and got straight to the point. I would recommend this book to anyone. The Dwarf and the Twins was definitely a page-turner and I just had to know what happened next. I liked that it was written from different points of view and it was nice to know what each character thought. You should definitely read The Dwarf and the Twins by Katharina Gerlach.
