Author Biography

Viktoria Alukard is currently serving active duty in the US Navy as an Electrician’s Mate first class. She hails from the small border town of Del Río, Texas which borders Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico. Alukard is Mexican descent, and she enlisted out of Dallas in 2008.

The Dhampir Dimension:Stigmata is her debut. It was originally a project she re-commenced from one that she had begun and abandoned back in 2007. Though she states the narrative is now completely different, namely because the original project was set in New York City vice Bucharest, Romania, the notable protagonists, Enttu and Regina remained the same in appearance.

The story is indirectly based on some of her own personal struggles she’s endured both personally and professionally. It is a great and relatable narrative for those starting life anew as veterans, the challenges that come with post-military life, a widely-diverse character cast, subjects delving into metaphysics, the well-blended inclusion of extraterrestrial encounters of the fourth kind, and demonic, blood-fueled battles and solving heinous crimes and mysteries. Ultimately, the Dhampir Dimension is a high-octane, violence-laced love story, about embracing one’s darkness to defeat the darkness itself.

There is a palpable gothic ambience to all of her work, which is signature to Alukard both as an author and as a person.

The Dhampir Dimension: Stigmata is a work of dark paranormal fiction by author Viktoria Alukard. Set in the erotic horror vampire genre, this tale takes place in Bucharest after central character Regina seeks a new start in her troubled life. Before she can even settle, strange prophecies come to her about the presence of a new man in her life, the police detective Enttu Tepes. But Enttu is more than just a handsome, blond stranger. He is one of the dhampir, a vampire who has lost a great deal in his long life, including a wife who resembles Regina. Enter Narciso on the scene, another vampire with a taste for vengeance, and what follows is a tense and thrilling adventure bursting with blood.

For fans of this particular genre, Viktoria Alukard has created a lavish and visceral world for her readers to delve into and enjoy. Though the graphic nature of the book won’t be for everyone, for those who appreciate accurate violence, terrifying demons and gruesome murders, The Dhampir Dimension: Stigmata offers a truly thrilling experience. Enttu begins as an enjoyably typical tortured soul, but when his relationship with Regina develops we get to see much more of a true characterization, which was really satisfying. I particularly enjoyed Narciso’s brand of pure evil violence, and the atmospheric settings that Alukard crafts are beautifully dark but also elegant. I also really appreciated the fact that the story unfolded in Bucharest rather than the shiny city streets of America. Overall, a highly enjoyable read.

A former vampire king seeks retribution after a dark conspiracy nearly obliterates his clan in the supernatural suspense novel, The Dhampir Dimension: Stigmata by Viktoria Alukard. Enttu Tepes sets out to find his reason for living after the horrifying events that led up to his terrible predicament. He had once been a wealthy ruler of his kind, The Undead, also known as Vampires or Blood Suckers, as some call them, but in an ominous instant, everything was riddled out of his undead hands as though he were just a mere mortal. Years later, Tepes starts dreaming of a beautiful young woman and he knows that she has answers to his past and future. Upon him meeting her, she throws his world into a spiral, and Tepes must take control of himself before his love becomes his one obsession. As Tepes eradicates evil, hidden secrets are revealed. Can Tepes handle the devastating secrets of his tragic past? Or will they break him?

I really enjoyed reading this book. The Dhampir Dimension: Stigmata is an edge of your seat, fantastical murder mystery written by Viktoria Alukard. Based in Bucharest, a city of legendary renown, the story world is superbly depicted. I was impressed with how the pacing kept the reader captivated from the beginning to the end. With an outstanding cast and relatable characters, I have to say that Regina is my favorite. Saucy, with the potential to be evil, she is a complex and entertaining character that beautifully complements our main hero, Tepes. I would recommend this book to a more mature reader due to adult content. A must for paranormal fans.

The Dhampir Dimension: Stigmata by Viktoria Alukard is a paranormal fiction novel that mixes romance, fantasy, and literature. Readers follow U.S. Navy veteran Regina Brighton after she relocates to Romania, leaving her life in San Diego behind to start working in Bucharest as an electrical plant technician. Regina only expected an escape from her past to begin a new life, but she never anticipated what her dreams could bring her. She could never have anticipated meeting Enttu Tepes, an alluring and strange man who happens to be a vampire.

The first words of The Dhampir Dimension: Stigmata are tantalizing, and they drew me in. Viktoria Alukard has a way with words; she intricately and meticulously wove each of her words together which resulted in a well-written story. The amount of detail and depth she put into her protagonists, and also into her settings, was inspiring. Regina’s character was authentic and relatable in many ways. I wondered what could have influenced Alukard to create such a wonderful character.

After finishing The Dhampir Dimension, I went back to read the author’s note. I usually skip this kind of thing, but I felt compelled to know more about the background. What I found were the answers to some of my questions. Beautiful and immersive stories always have a story of their own and Viktoria Alukard’s personal anecdote explains more than just who she is as an author, but how her story came to be filled with so much passion and depth. I would recommend this to anyone looking for something new to mix into their reading lists.

The Dhampir Dimension: Stigmata by Viktoria Alukard is the story of a woman who had no idea that her world would take a complete 360-degree turn when she moves to a new place. I had no idea that I would like this novel as much as I did. Usually I read a novel once and that is it. So imagine my surprise when I actually read this novel not once, but twice before writing this review. I loved this story line, the suspense, the chemistry and the overall development of the plot. The story was intense, effective and grabbed my attention from the moment I read the blurb.

Regina Brighton was living in San Diego when she decided that she needed a change in life. So she left her old job behind and moved to Bucharest, Romania where she was hoping to restart her life. However, the moment she lands in this strange new city, she starts having nightmares about a dashing blond man who haunts her dreams every night. Little does she know that this man is a dhampir vampire called Enttu Tepes whose destiny is intermingled with hers in strange ways. Together, they both will soon realize that even though they are different, their lives are about to merge to make them perfect for each other.

I enjoyed how well developed the characters were. In the beginning, Regina was not really ignorant or innocent, but she was definitely not as developed. However, as the story progressed, she matured and learnt to adapt rather well for someone who had such a shock. I had some difficulty warming up to Enttu, but once I did, I actually loved him more than I loved Regina. He is enigmatic and erratic at times, but he is definitely one of the best male vampires I have read this year. This novel was a total surprise for me and I loved every single word. It was absolutely brilliant.

The Dhampir Dimension: Stigmata by Viktoria Alukard is an engaging paranormal story with unforgettable characters. We meet Regina Brighton, a Navy veteran who moves to Bucharest for a new start. She believes she is leaving her troubled past behind. But something more unsettling begins — nightmares involving a strange man with long blond hair. She is haunted by a vampire named Enttu Tepes, working as a detective for the Bucharest police, a man whose late wife had a strong resemblance to Regina. But the more she gets absorbed into his world, the more things become complicated for her: she becomes a target of the Dragul Coven, run by the ruthless Narcisso Tepes. This narrative plunges the reader into a mysterious world of powerful creatures, strange rituals, murders, daring hunts, and love. Will Regina come out alive and unscathed?

There is much to enjoy in this narrative and the first thing that struck me was the author's gift for descriptive prose. The story begins with vivid descriptions — and the entire narrative is filled with them. "The body cloaked in a black cape was still twitching in agony, in a crimson, viscous pool of blood reflecting the moonlight, with his mouth open slack to the firmament. It was a freezing, blustery night, so cold that the gusts of wind burned the snow trekker’s cheekbones." There is gore, there are powerful sensations in a world that defies gravity, there is magic, and murders, elements that enrich the plot twists that are so manifold in the narrative. I loved the characters and the witticism that is injected into the already exciting dialogues.

The Dhampir Dimension: Stigmata is a gripping narrative with a strong conflict and readers will want to follow the connection between Regina and Enttu Tepes. Here is a story for readers who enjoy delightful prose and characters that are rich and multi-layered. One of the best paranormal treats I have had in a long while — engrossing and utterly delectable.
