Richard Ruhling in The Destruction of Jerusalem gives excellent biblical insights as to his beliefs of how and why things will happen as the author views them. There is excellent detail given with supporting scriptures to stand against just doing things because it is traditional. This material challenges the reader to be stretched in their usual way of thinking to consider additional views and possibilities. There is an excellent warning for pastors and the effects of what they do and how it will come back to them. Americans are killing themselves with healthcare rather than using a holistic approach. Many are getting sicker with the medications prescribed by doctors rather than getting better. Destruction seems to be occurring all around, some self-inflicted. There is a section on the rapture of the church and if it will occur as many believe or are there scriptures to prove differently?

Author Ruhling gives many views of different types of religions and beliefs. This book is intended to draw the reader closer to God and further away from traditions and religions that could cause one to miss the view of God upon their life. An excellent book for students to look at to challenge their beliefs and purpose. Ruhling discusses how the United States is like biblical Egypt, things that are often overlooked in a wedding party, and many other topics that will keep the reader turning pages in great anticipation. People who enjoy books about the end of times will undoubtedly want to get this book for their reading pleasure.
