The Crusade of Asmodeus by Grant Grant-Ezeronye follows the story of the demon Asmodeus, one of the seven deadly sins who were born of the Fallen Star. Asmodeus begins plotting something sinister enough to stir up things in the Heavens; he wants to start a war and force the hand of the Creator. Adam Keller never wanted any part of this messed up world; however, when he regains his ability to see demons he has no choice but to see things through. What could fate possibly have in store for him and will he be able to stop Asmodeus’ plan?
The Crusade of Asmodeus by Grant Grant-Ezeronye was an interesting read and although it took me a while to get into the book it is worth sticking around for the end. The book had so many different elements that I really enjoyed, namely the apocalyptic end-of-the-world theme. The demons were utterly amusing and are the type of villains you love to hate but love anyway. The world-building in the story was well done and I enjoyed the different range of characters that were introduced. Although Adam made for a really interesting main character, I did end up enjoying Asmodeus as a character more. Overall, this book was fun and had an interesting concept that was executed well. This book has great potential and I think many fans of the genre would enjoy it. I would definitely recommend it, especially for any fans of sinister but intriguing demons.
