Within the SENSE Model, you will learn how everything that you do constitutes how your brain pattern charges off. The brain must have balance, rest, and stimulation in order to function at its optimal peak. Throughout The Brain Book, you will see Key Takeaways and exercises designed to help strengthen your cognitive abilities.
In reading The Brain Book: How to Think and Work Smarter by Phil Dobson, it reminded me as to how important it is to stay engaged in keeping my brain charged. I found that the SENSE (Stress, Exercise, Nutrition, Sleep, Experience) Model was important to my well-being because whenever one aspects of my brain is off-center, then I'm unable to function properly. On a frequent basis, I exercise mindfulness with a few of my favorites, from listening to the pouring rain, and hearing the geese fly and honk overhead, to listening to the ocean ebb and flow against the seashore. Performing cognitive brain exercises, just like exercising your body, helps to ward off dementia and other illnesses while keeping the body sharpened. The Brain Book: How to Think and Work Smarter by Phil Dobson is a must-have for everyone.
