With The Beginning: From a Garden Castle…To the Dragon Fields, L.J. Beene presents a captivating fable for children. Among all the kings of the world, God is the most extraordinary, sitting high above with the Prince of princes and the Spirit of life. Together, they are known as the Godhead. Once upon a time, they made a Prince and a Princess and allowed them to live in a Garden Castle unlike any other. The Prince and the Princess lived happily in abundance alongside animals of various kinds. Until one day, the Great Red Dragon arrived and tempted them to sin. Forced to leave the garden, the Prince and the Princess worked hard to survive, and eventually, their sin passed on to their children too. But the Godhead returned and forgave their sins, turning the fallen royals into warriors who must now fight for the redemption of others.
Inspired by the characters and events from the Bible, L.J. Beene weaves a fascinating rhyming tale for kids. The Beginning engages you from the first page to the last and contains a few relevant moral lessons about good and evil along the way. With an absorbing narrative, Beene finds an ingenious way to infuse the teachings of the scriptures into the story, ensuring readers continue to think about them long after they've finished reading the book. The artwork is simply phenomenal as the author captures the story's essence and lays it out beautifully with a colorful and vibrant collection of illustrations. All in all, this is one of the best ways to introduce children to the story of Creation in the Bible. I enjoyed it very much and heartily recommend it.
