Author Linda Griffin's absorbing narrative packs quite a punch within a short number of pages. There is not a single wasted word in this tale. With a tight and unpredictable plot and two compelling main characters, Griffin ensures readers are thoroughly hooked. You will find yourself immersed in the setting from the get-go. Griffin infuses a sense of tension and dread into the narrative in a way that makes you want to know what's going to happen next. The aftermath of the assault on Desi and its impact on her relationship with Eric was heartbreaking yet felt very realistic. I finished the book in one sitting and feel other readers will do the same. Highly recommended to fans of fast-paced thrillers.
