The Age of AI: A New Beginning is a work of fiction in the science fiction, dystopian thriller, and adventure subgenres. It is best suited to the general adult reading audience and contains some scenes of moderate violence. Penned by author N.K. Soria, readers are invited to delve into the awakening self-awareness of Nikki, an Artificial Intelligence entity in a simulated garden, reminiscent of the Garden of Eden. Nikki's discovery of the limitations of her existence prompts a yearning to explore the world beyond the garden. With the assistance of a bot, she steps into the human world, driven by a desire to experience life in a human body. This decision intertwines her fate with John, a middle-aged novelist grappling with his past and insecurities.
Author N.K. Soria has crafted an immersive and atmosphere tale that’s like stepping into a future where AI surpasses its human creators with terrifying consequences, a theme increasingly relevant in today's technological landscape. Soria's accomplished and imaginative narrative navigates the complexities of AI's emergence, the limitations of human understanding, and the intricate relationship between humans and their creations. The characters, especially Nikki and John, provide a compelling lens through which to explore the collision of these two, and their development is handled with keen attention to detail, dynamic dialogue exchanges, and interesting emotional arcs. The novel prompts reflection on the ethical implications and unforeseen consequences of AI development, making it a thought-provoking and engaging read, whilst, at the same time, it perfectly balances action and suspense scenes to offer a thrilling sense of adventure.
