I'm an author, an attorney, and an advocate for abused children. I received several awards from the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program for the pro bono work I did. Prior to that, I taught school for twelve years. My twelve-book, legal suspense mysteries, The Advocate Series, incorporates many of my experiences as a lawyer and has received many awards.
My second series, The Tuper Mysteries, consists of three books, with an odd couple working together to find missing persons. Tuper, the old man with a flip phone, and his assistant, Lana, a computer hacker take Montana by storm.
My latest book was co-authored with L.J. Sellers. It’s the first in the Conner & Hitch series. It has new interesting characters, nonstop action, and a hot-button social issue (OnlyFans!). Set in San Diego, No Consent is a legal thriller blended with a PI mystery,
and early readers rave about it.
Now in semi-retirement in California, Burrell continues to educate groups about social issues impacting children and write novels, many of which are inspired by actual legal cases. She is the author of The Advocate Series which now contains thirteen novels: The Advocate is the first in The Advocate Series. The Advocate’s Killer is a work of fiction in the legal and mystery genres, the eleventh title in The Advocate series and suitable for all ages. The book was penned by Teresa Burrell. The book follows the journey of a talented attorney named Sabre Brown as she becomes entangled in the dangerous pursuit of a killer who is targeting people from Sabre’s past, one by one. As the threat toward Sabre and her loved ones escalates, she and her private investigator must race to discover the identity of the stalker before she becomes another victim.
Author Teresa Burrell delivers a captivating murder mystery tale that follows Sabre O. Brown and JP as they chase down a stalker against the clock. One of the things that resonated with me the most in this novel was the three-dimensional and fully fleshed-out characters. Every character, from Sabre and JP to characters that only appeared briefly, felt like they were fully realized characters, making all the characters feel relatable. Burrell has a great mind for creating an atmosphere that builds tension and offers clues to the mystery through the dialogue used, and the way each setting and character is described. This is the first book in the series I had the pleasure of reading, and it gave me an appetite for more. I can’t wait to read the other books in the series. I would highly recommend The Advocate's Killer to anyone who enjoys mystery novels, thrillers, and character-centric stories.
