The Accidental Yogini by Tracey L. Ulshafer is an insightful and uplifting story about the power of yoga and the transformation it can bring into everybody’s lives. Kristin is reminiscing about her life when she was negative, had low vibrations, and was stuck in unhealthy patterns. Her life changed for the better when she decided to take up the suggestion of her friends to go together to a yoga class. Though Kristin had doubts about yoga and its results, she went with her friends. That was the turning point in her life because she discovered how beautiful her days could be and how her life had become purposeful, empowering, and fulfilling compared to before. Her journey made her realize her flaws, faults, and taught her to trust the universe and go with its flow instead of resisting it.
Kristin’s journey is inspiring and will motivate readers to do yoga to handle the highs and lows of their lives in a good way so that it is meaningful and happy. Though a fiction story, there are a lot of insights and wisdom contained within, and it is a good read for all those who are looking to start yoga and also for those who are already practicing yoga. The approach to the topic is simple, straightforward, and honest, and the characters are real and relatable. It is a story about healing, self-discovery, self-love, and change, and will resonate well with readers. The thought-provoking quotes and the philosophy of yoga have been discussed well through Kristin’s journey and this is definitely a must-read for all those readers who want to discover yoga and learn more about it.
